You don’t have to fight fires to volunteer at your local fire company. Jonathan Reck, 68, volunteers as Fire Police Captain for Upper Macungie Township Station 56 and is also a trustee.

“Being retired, volunteering keeps me in touch with the community and is an excellent way to feel satisfied in helping others,” said Jonathan.

He has been volunteering for four years now and says it’s an experience you won’t regret.

“I enjoy meeting and being involved with the people from Upper Macungie plus the activities and comradeship at Station 56.”
