Molly's Story
Molly Amsler, 18, never thought she would become a firefighter. “After talking to some firefighters, I thought volunteering would be a different way for me to help out my community,” she said. “It is definitely one decision I will never regret.”
Molly has been volunteering for over a year at Upper Macungie Township Station 56 and was encouraged to join by her older brother Nick, who started volunteering a few months before Molly joined.
“I enjoy being at a station where everyone helps each other out, whether it is encouraging or pushing each other to train or work harder,” said Molly. “It is very rewarding to see how much of an impact you can make when responding to calls.”
