Peter's Story

“I was that little kid who always watch the fire engines drive by my house and always wanted to do it when I got older,” said Assistant Chief Peter Grodziak, Fogelsville Volunteer Fire Company.

Now 34, Peter started volunteering when he was 16 years old. He formed great friendships over the years and credits senior members as key figures throughout his training and volunteer experience.

“Volunteering is incredibly rewarding,” said Peter. “Be part of something bigger than yourself and give back to your community – and have some adventure while you’re doing it.”
